Real Madrid plot sensational summer swap deal for Chelsea’s Eden Hazard with Gareth Bale

Real Madrid could try to tempt Chelsea into selling their star forward Eden Hazard by offering them Gareth Bale as part of the deal, according to reports.

Hazard has been on Real’s wish list for some time. Now Zinedine Zidane is back as manager of Los Blancos then their interest could increase. Real president Florentino Perez is also said to have promised Zidane a war chest of £300 million to revamp the squad this summer.

By the same token, several players could be heading out of the Bernabeu this summer. Gareth Bale is thought to be one of those, given his fractious relationship with Zidane and the Madrid fans. His recent injury record doesn’t help either.

With Chelsea rumoured to be interested in signing Bale, a swap deal could be an agreeable option for all parties.

Chelsea will want more than £100 million for Hazard, while Real will want about £75 million for Bale – who turns 30 later this year. It also has to be factored in that Bale earns about £11 million per year.

However, whether Bale would want to leave Real is another matter. He has previously said he is happy in the Spanish capital.

In addition, other clubs, including Manchester United, May be interested in signing Bale.

Real Madrid president targets Neymar and Kylian Mbappe for summer signings

Real Madrid could break the world transfer record this summer as the club’s president says he wants to sign Paris St-Germain stars Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

Florentino Perez made his comments on the strikers as he unveiled Zinedine Zidane as Real’s new manager – taking the reigns just 10 months after he left.

Zidane has been tasked with taking Real back to the top of Spanish and European football next season. To do this, it is anticipated that he will instigate a major shake-up of the playing staff.

This will likely include one marquee player – at least – as the void left by Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure to Juventus has never been adequately filled.

Neymar and Mbappe are the obvious choices, having proved themselves in the European and World stages.

There have been constant rumours of Neymar’s disaffection with life in Paris over the past couple of years and he would likely welcome a move back to Spain. He has also been coy on talk about his future in recent weeks.

Meanwhile Mbappe has said he is happy at PSG right now, but has hinted he would like to move to Madrid at some point in his career.

Perez said, perhaps with tongue in cheek, that he thought the presence of fellow Frenchman Zidane could be a full factor in convincing Mbappe to come to the Spanish capital.

But a transfer deal for either would inevitably involve a world record fee. The current £198 million record is held by PSG, when they bought Neymar from Barcelona two summers ago.

PSG would want a fee greater than that for either player, perhaps as much as £250 million. Both are under long contracts and are either at, or not yet reached, their peak years as players, given Neymar is 26 and Mbappe 20.

It is likely that Real would be able to afford one or the other from the pair – plus PSG would not sanction selling both players.

Liverpool striker Sadio Mane reportedly agrees to join Real Madrid

Liverpool striker Sadio Mane has reportedly agreed to join Real Madrid – but the deal is in doubt after manager Zinedine Zidane left the club.

Mane, 26, impressed many across Europe with his performances for Liverpool alongside Mo Salah and Roberto Firminho. He scored 20 goals in all competitions last season, including one in the Champions League final.

France Football has reported that Mane has agreed terms to join Real, with Zidane keen to sign him. But with the Frenchman standing down last week, the deal is now in doubt, and at least in hold until a new manager is in place.

It has also been reported that a transfer fee has not yet been agreed, which could be another stumbling block. Liverpool would want top dollar for Mane – at least £50-75 million – to part with one of their stars.

However, Real have not indicated when they expect to appoint a new man, so this may take some time to resolve.

Alisson set to reject Liverpool and sets sights on transfer to Real Madrid

Roma goalkeeper Alisson is set to turn down potential moves to Liverpool and other clubs to wait for an offer from Real Madrid, according to reports in Spain.

Brazil international Alisson’s chances of moving to the Bernabeu have increased following the departure of manager Zinedine Zidane last week, who was loyal to current number one Keylor Navas and wasn’t looking to bring in another keeper, according to Spanish daily Marca. Meanwhile Real president Florentino Perez is believed to favour signing a new goalkeeper.

Alisson, 25, has had an outstanding season with Roma and is now a target for top clubs all over Europe, with Chelsea also believed to be interested.

Roma may be prepared to sell as they have financial trouble, although they will still want a world-record fee for him. A figure of £60 million has been mentioned, although it could go higher if there is a bidding war. The current record for a goalkeeper is the £34.5 million Manchester City paid for Ederson last summer.

However, it is thought that Alisson will hold out for an offer from Real. But any offer won’t come until another manager has been appointed. Real’s top brass are still considering who to approach, with several names, including Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino, in the frame.

Liverpool will have alternative options as they seek a new number one, following the various fails made by current keepers Loris Karius and Simon Migniolet. These could include Italian stopper Gianluigi Donnarumma, who would be available at a cheaper price and is 6 years younger than Alisson.

Manchester United lead chase for Real Madrid star Gareth Bale

Manchester United are at the head of a queue of a number of clubs looking at signing Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale this summer.

Bale, who scored two goals in Madrid’s 3-1 win over Liverpool in the Champions League final, is reportedly unhappy at the club. He hasn’t been a regular starter recently – Zinedine Zidane preferred Isco in the final – and Bale’s relationship with his manager is also apparently strained too.

The Welshman, who turns 29 this summer, has made it clear he wants to be playing week-in, week-out at this stage of his career. This has been taken as a hint he is looking to play elsewhere, despite winning four Champions League winners medals in 5 seasons.

United have a long-standing interest in Bale, having tried to sign him on 2 previous occasions. Manager Jose Mourinho is thought to be planning an overhaul of his squad as he seeks to get closer to runaway Premier League champions Manchester City. Bale would fit the bill as the sort of marquee signing United are looking for.

Madrid are also looking at a major refresh of their squad, so could be willing to let Bale go. However, he wouldn’t come cheap – Real would be looking to make a profit on a player they signed for a then-record £85 million in 2013, with some speculation they would be looking for up to double that amount.

Other clubs are likely to be interested in signing Bale, including German champions Bayern Munich, although apparently there is no interest from Manchester City. Bale’s wages, said to be £650,000 a week, would also be a stumbling block for many sides – including former side Tottenham Hotspur – but not United.

However, any move will be down to the player himself and will depend on any assurances over playing time and if there is any prospect of repairing his fractured relationship with Zidane.
