Real Madrid are planning to make a bid to sign Paris St-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe this summer for a world record £240 million.

France Football has reported that Real are preparing the mega-deal for the France international as part of the major revamp manager Zinedine Zidane is planning.

After a mediocre – by their standards – season, Zidane is planning a major overhaul of the playing staff. Top of the list is a marquee signing to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, and Mbappe fits the bill.

If – and it is a big if – a deal is done, it would smash the current record £198 million that PSG paid Barcelona for Neymar back in 2017.

However, it is thought that PSG have no intention of selling one of their major stars and would turn down any bid. But matters are complicated as they may need to sell to comply with Financial Fair Play rules.

France Football also speculated that deals to bring Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba to the Bernabeau are almost done deals.

Spanish giants Real Madrid still want to sign Neymar from Paris St-Germain this summer, according to reports.

Madrid have long been linked with the 26-year-old Brazilian and is seen as the ultimate marquee signing to signify the club’s desire to regain the La Liga and Champions League trophies next season.

Whole there have been consistent stories about Neymar’s alleged unhappiness in Paris, PSG seem confident of holding onto him this summer.

Indeed, Spanish daily Marca reports that a deal for Neymar is unlikely and that several other players – including Chelsea’s Eden Hazard – are more likely to join Zinedine Zidane’s side.

However, should Neymar or PSG’s position change then Madrid would be at the head of the queue. It would likely take a new world record to bring Neymar to the Bernabeau – the record is still the £198 million the French side paid Barcelona to bring him to the Parc des Princes – but Madrid could afford it.

Real Madrid plan £125 million move for Manchester United star Paul Pogba – reports

Spanish giants Real Madrid are planning to make a £125 million bid to bring Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba to the Bernabeu this summer, according to reports.

Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is a long-term fan of his countryman and tried to sign him three summers ago when Pogba decided instead to join United for a then world record £89 million.

With Zidane planning a major revamp of the Madrid squad, Pogba is a name towards the top of the list of targets, according to The Sun.

The player also admitted in an interview recently that it was a dream for him to play for the club. He also spoke of his admiration for Zidane.

However, this doesn’t mean Pogba wants to leave United right now. He is believed to be happy in Manchester, and is enjoying playing under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who was confirmed as United’s permanent manager yesterday (March 28). Indeed, his form since the Norwegian took over has been impressive.

United also don’t want to sell one of their star players. Pogba will be one of the players Solskjaer builds his team around.

But if Madrid want to test United’s resolve it will take a bid of at least £125 million, according to The Sun.

Real Madrid reignite interest in Liverpool forward Sadio Mane

Spanish giants Real Madrid are set to launch a renewed bid to sign Liverpool star Sadio Mane this summer following Zinedine Zidane’s reappointment as manager, according to reports.

Zidane is a big fan of the 26-year-Old forward and was interested in signing him last year – with some reports in France saying that a deal in principle had been agreed – before the Frenchman quit the Madrid hotseat and the deal was scrapped.

But France Football has reported that Zidane wants to try again to sign Mane this summer.

Mane has been in sparkling form in recent weeks, scoring 11 goals in his last 11 games and is a crucial part of Liverpool’s games and feared front three. He is also only one goal behind the Premier League’s top scorer Sergio Aguero.

However, Liverpool will be unwilling to lose one of their top stars and will likely put up a strong fight to keep hold of him.

Mane only signed a new deal in November 2018, which ties him to the Anfield club until 2023.

All this, and that at 26 Mane is moving into the peak years of his career, means that it will likely take a bid of more than £100 million to even tempt the Reds into selling.

Mane is just the latest Premier League star to be linked with Real in recent weeks. With a major revamp of the squad expected in the summer, names such as Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen have already been mentioned as possible targets for Zidane.

Real Madrid plot sensational summer swap deal for Chelsea’s Eden Hazard with Gareth Bale

Real Madrid could try to tempt Chelsea into selling their star forward Eden Hazard by offering them Gareth Bale as part of the deal, according to reports.

Hazard has been on Real’s wish list for some time. Now Zinedine Zidane is back as manager of Los Blancos then their interest could increase. Real president Florentino Perez is also said to have promised Zidane a war chest of £300 million to revamp the squad this summer.

By the same token, several players could be heading out of the Bernabeu this summer. Gareth Bale is thought to be one of those, given his fractious relationship with Zidane and the Madrid fans. His recent injury record doesn’t help either.

With Chelsea rumoured to be interested in signing Bale, a swap deal could be an agreeable option for all parties.

Chelsea will want more than £100 million for Hazard, while Real will want about £75 million for Bale – who turns 30 later this year. It also has to be factored in that Bale earns about £11 million per year.

However, whether Bale would want to leave Real is another matter. He has previously said he is happy in the Spanish capital.

In addition, other clubs, including Manchester United, May be interested in signing Bale.
