Manchester United eye £120 million bid for Juventus star Paulo Dybala

Manchester United are considering making a bid for Juventus striker Paulo Dybala this summer – but only if current striker Romelu Lukaku leaves, according to reports.

United scouts have been impressed with Dybala for some time with his performances in Serie A and the Champions League.

The Sun claim that United have already sounded out their counterparts at Juventus about the possibility of a deal, and it seems that a bid of £120 million may be enough to get their man.

However, this bid may only happen if United sell Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian has appeared to recapture his best form in the past couple of weeks with 4 goals in his last 2 games but there has been speculation that he may leave in the summer.

One potential destination for Lukaku could be Juventus. There has been rumoured interest in him from Turin for some time, so a player-plus-cash deal involving Dybala is not beyond the realms of possibility.

Other clubs in Serie A, notably Inter Milan, are also said to be interested in Lukaku. At 26, he is in the peak of his career so United would want to at least recoup the £75 million they paid Everton for him two years ago.

Champions League chasing Manchester United are planning to bolster their attack this summer and have targeted Juventus striker Paolo Dybala for that.

And United are prepared to offer Romelu Lukaku as part of any deal, according to reports.

Argentine striker Dybala could be available as he has fallen out with Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri this season and has been overshadowed by the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo. He also fits United’s requirements of a mobile goalscoring striker.

Dybala could cost up to £100 million, so to try and mitigate some of that cost, United are willing to offer Belgian international Lukaku as part of the deal.

Lukaku may have cost £75 million when he joined United from Everton but he has fallen down the pecking order since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over as interim manager, with Marcus Rashford often being preferred.

It is reported that both Juventus and Lukaku would be open to such a deal. Lukaku would relish the chance to join the Italian champions, while they would be getting a prolific striker who is in the peak years of his career.
