Manchester United and Barcelona join Bayern Munich in race for Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi

Manchester United and Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing Chelsea’s teenage age Callum Hudson-Odoi, joining Bayern Munich and other German clubs.

Reports say that Hudson-Odoi still wants to leave Chelsea. He had a transfer request rejected in January but, frustrated at a continuing lack of game time, he still feels his future lies away from Stamford Bridge.

If that is the case, then top European clubs are lining up to sign him. Bayern Munich were thought to be at the top of the queue, having made a £35 million bid for the 18-year-old in January. While they are thought to be planning another bid, they now have competition from Manchester United and Barcelona, according to The Daily Mail.

In addition, German sides Red Bull Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund are also reportedly interested in Hudson-Odoi . Dortmund may make a move if Jadon Sancho is sold, with United reportedly interested in him as well.

However, Chelsea do not want Hudson-Odoi to leave and have offered him an improved deal worth a rumoured £80,000 a week. This could be especially important if a transfer ban for the next 2 windows is upheld – the club are currently appealing the decision.

Ultimately, where Hudson-Odoi stays or goes may depend on whether he is given an extended run in the Chelsea first-team or not. This far, boss Maurizio Sarri has shown little inclination to do this. Indeed,  the player made his full England debut before his full Premier League debut this week.

Arsenal join Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool in chase for Timo Werner

Arsenal have become the latest club to be linked to making a bid for RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner in the summer, following fellow Premier League clubs Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool.

German international Werner, 21, has netted 16 times in 29 matches for RB Leipzig, and has recently turned down a new contract offer, alerting clubs across Europe. It is estimated he could cost up to £50 million.

An Arsenal scout was reportedly at RB Leipzig’s Europa League clash with Napoli last week.

As well as interest from the Premier League, Werner, who has scored 7 goals in 10 appearances for Germany, is also being coveted by both Madrid sides. Bayern Munich will also doubtless be keeping tabs on the player.

Werner started out at VfB Stuggart but moved to RB Leipzig in 2016 after the former’s relegation. Last term he was the Bundesliga’s top German scorer, with 21 goals in 32 appearances.

Liverpool target Naby Keita told he can leave RB Leipzig – but only for £70 million

Liverpool’s hopes of signing midfielder Naby Keita from German side RB Leipzig have been boosted as he has been told he can leave the club – but only for the right price.

Keita has been targeted by Reds boss Jurgen Klopp as he continues to rebuild the side. However, RB Leipzig are said to not be considering bids of less than £70 million for the 22-year-old Guinea international, according to The Guardian.

Keita has refused to sign a new deal with RB Leipzig, despite having negotiations over one, but has 3 years left on his current deal. RB Leipzig’s chief executive, Oliver Mintzlaff, has said Keita will n http://gty.im/674791112 http://gty.im/674791112 ot be sold. “It would be negligent to give away one of our key players now,” he said last week.

In addition, RB Leipzig will be embarking on their maiden Champions League campaign next season, after finishing runners-up in the Bundesliga.

Liverpool are understood to be considering making an offer of £50 million for Keita, so it appears there is a big gap between the clubs in terms of valuation. There may well be some serious negotiating to come if a deal is to happen.
