Liverpool target £100 million rated Barcelona star

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is keen to continue his summer spending by adding Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele to the team.

Barcelona bought Dembele for £103.5 million from Borussia Dortmund last summer, but the Frenchman’s season was ruined by injury and he scored just 4 goals in all competitions.

While he is still rated as one of the most promising talents in Europe, Barca could be tempted to sell him in order to fund a move for Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann.

Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo are reporting Liverpool’s interest but it isn’t clear if any deal would be permanent or loan. After such a huge outlay last year, Barca may want to loan Dembele out to recapture his form.

Klopp has already been busy in the transfer market this summer, bringing in Fabinho for an initial £39 million, as well as Naby Keita arriving from RB Leipzig having completed his loan there.

Liverpool and Egypt forward Mohammad Salah has been named African Footballer of the Year, ahead of his Premier League team-mate Sadio Mane.

Salah has been in scintillating form for the Reds this season, and is the Premier League’s leading scorer this season with 13. He had also had a stellar 2016/17 season with Roma in Serie A, being named their Player of the Season after finishing as the club’s top goalscorer with 15 goals in all competitions (14 in Serie A) and six assists. This caught the eye of Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, who paid a then club-record fee of £36 million to bring him to Anfield.

The 25-year-old also played a key role in Egypt qualifying for their first World Cup since 1990, scoring 5 goals in their qualification campaign, including both goals in the decisive 2–1 victory over Congo, one of which was a penalty in the last minute.

Senegalese striker Mane, who was a key player for Liverpool in the 2016/17 season and also helped his national team to qualify for the 2018 World Cup, was second. Borussia Dortmund and Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was third, ahead of Chelsea and Nigeria wing-back Victor Moses and RB Leipzig and Guinea midfielder Naby Keita.

Liverpool target Naby Keita told he can leave RB Leipzig – but only for £70 million

Liverpool’s hopes of signing midfielder Naby Keita from German side RB Leipzig have been boosted as he has been told he can leave the club – but only for the right price.

Keita has been targeted by Reds boss Jurgen Klopp as he continues to rebuild the side. However, RB Leipzig are said to not be considering bids of less than £70 million for the 22-year-old Guinea international, according to The Guardian.

Keita has refused to sign a new deal with RB Leipzig, despite having negotiations over one, but has 3 years left on his current deal. RB Leipzig’s chief executive, Oliver Mintzlaff, has said Keita will n http://gty.im/674791112 http://gty.im/674791112 ot be sold. “It would be negligent to give away one of our key players now,” he said last week.

In addition, RB Leipzig will be embarking on their maiden Champions League campaign next season, after finishing runners-up in the Bundesliga.

Liverpool are understood to be considering making an offer of £50 million for Keita, so it appears there is a big gap between the clubs in terms of valuation. There may well be some serious negotiating to come if a deal is to happen.
