Liverpool target £100 million rated Barcelona star

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is keen to continue his summer spending by adding Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele to the team.

Barcelona bought Dembele for £103.5 million from Borussia Dortmund last summer, but the Frenchman’s season was ruined by injury and he scored just 4 goals in all competitions.

While he is still rated as one of the most promising talents in Europe, Barca could be tempted to sell him in order to fund a move for Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann.

Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo are reporting Liverpool’s interest but it isn’t clear if any deal would be permanent or loan. After such a huge outlay last year, Barca may want to loan Dembele out to recapture his form.

Klopp has already been busy in the transfer market this summer, bringing in Fabinho for an initial £39 million, as well as Naby Keita arriving from RB Leipzig having completed his loan there.

Barcelona, PSG and Juventus in chase for Liverpool star – and it’s not Coutinho

European giants Barcelona, Paris St-Germain and Juventus are all said to be considering bidding for Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana.

Lallana has been in inspiration form for Liverpool this season, with 7 goals and 7 assists in 21 matches this season. He has also become an integral part of England’s midfield in the past 12 months.

His form has been enough to put his name to the fore of some of the giants of European football, according to a report in The Times.

Lallana has yet to open talks on a new contract with Liverpool – although his existing deal runs until the end of 2018 – and this may give some clubs a sniff of an opportunity at tempting him to pastures new. All three clubs could probably offer an increase in wages as well.

However, this is very much speculation at the moment. Barcelona and PSG have also been linked with fellow Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho in recent weeks – they wouldn’t move for both.

Plus, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp would be unwilling to let either of two of his linchpins leave the side, especially with the Reds handily placed for a push for the Premier League title.
