There are four matches kicking off at 3pm in the Premier League today, with interest at both ends of the table.

As always in the UK, none of the matches are live on TV but you can follow the action on local and national radio, as well as various TV results services.

Here are the factz you need to know:

Burnley v Newcastle United

* Newcastle did the double over the Clarets last season.
* Burnley’s easily season form seems to have evaporated: they’ve lost 6 of their last 8 matches.
* Meanwhile Newcastle have won 4 of their last 6 PL matches, losing once.
* Sean Dyche has called on just 19 players in the league this season.

* Newcastle are the only Premier League side yet to be awarded a penalty this season. Not getting penalties was a traditional gripe for Dyche.

Chelsea v AFC Bournemouth

* Chelsea won this fixture 2-0 last season. However, the Cherries won the return match 4-0.
* After a good run, Chelsea have lost 3 of their last 4 matches.
* But Bournemouth are on an even worse run – they’ve lost 5 consecutive Premier League matches.
* Chelsea have yet to gain a point after going behind this season.

* Set pieces are Bournemouth’s strength – they’ve scored 9 so far this season from deadball situations.

Leicester City v Norwich City

* Leicester are in amazing form – they’ve won their last 8 PL matches, scoring at least twice in each game.
* Jamie Vardy has also scored in every one of those matches. He once scored in 11 straight matches back in 2015.
* Meanwhile Norwich are on a run of 1 win in 11 with 8 defeats in that sequence.
* The Canaries have also conceded at least twice in 13 of their 16 matches this season.

* Leicester have conceded just 10 goals this season – the best record in the division.

Sheffield United v Aston Villa

* When the sides met last season in the Championship both were goal fests: in this fixture, United ran out 4-1 winners. In the return, the Blades were 0-3 up with 10 minutes to go, but Villa staged an amazing comeback to draw 3-3.

* United have lost just one of their last 9 PL matches, although they have drawn 5 in that run.
* Villa have lost 5 of their last 7 matches, but in that run they have played all of the current top 6.
* Only Leicester and Liverpool have a better defensive record than Sheffield United in the PL this season.
* Getting a lead isn’t Villa’s problem – it’s keeping it. They’ve lost 13 points from winning positions so far this season.

There are two matches in the Premier League this Sunday. First up is Crystal Palace v Leicester City at Selhurst Park.

Both sides have had great starts to the season and will be gunning to ensure it continues as the table starts to take a recognisable form.

The match kicks off at 2pm and it is live on Sky Sports Premier League. Here are the factz you need to know:
* Leicester broke the record for biggest top-flight away win last time out versus Southampton.
* Crystal Palace did the double over the Foxes last season, winning 1-0 at Selhurst Park and thumping them 1-4 at the King Power Stadium.
* The Eagles are slow starters – only 3 of their 10 Premier League goals this season have come before the break.
* A win today would mean Leicester have their best start ever to a top-flight season – better than their title-winning season.
* Jamie Vardy has had a new lease of life under Brendan Rodgers’ management – he’s got 18 goals in 20 matches since he took over.

Atletico Madrid plan shock move for Leicester City star Jamie Vardy

Europa League winners Atletico Madrid are plotting to bid for Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy this summer as they seek to replace Barcelona-bound Antoine Griezmann.

Vardy, 31, who was named in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the World Cup last week, has apparently impressed Atletico boss Diego Simeone in recent seasons.

Simeone thinks Vardy can complement Diego Costa up front for the side, according to the Sunday Mirror.

Griezmann is expected to complete an £85 million move to Barcelona soon, so reinforcements are needed. Vardy had another impressive season at Leicester, and his performances in the 2016/17 Champions League campaign have also not been forgotten by Atletico’s management.

Given his age, Vardy would not break the bank, although Leicester will be loathe to lose one of their stars – especially as more bids are expected for Riyad Mahrez this summer.

The Sunday Mirror speculate that a bid of £16-20 million could be enough to tempt Leicester’s bosses to part with him.

But whether Vardy would move is another matter – he famously turned Arsenal down a couple of summers ago to stay at the King Power Stadium. But could the lure of the Champions League and Madrid prove too much?

* Leicester meanwhile are in form: having lost 1 of their last 9, winning 4 and drawing 4.
* Newcastle have lost their last 2 home matches without scoring.
* If Jamie Vardy scores it will be his 50th in the PL and he will be the first Leicester play to reach that mark.
* Leicester have an oddly symmetrical record this season: 5 wins, 5 draws, 5 defeats, scored 20, conceded 20, points 20.

Chelsea draw up striker shortlist to replace Batshuayi in January

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is thought to be drawing up a shortlist of strikers who could replace Michy Batshuayi as Alvaro Morata’s understudy when the transfer window reopens in January.

Belgian forward Batshuayi has come in for criticism for his failure to lead the line – especially after Chelsea’s defeat to Crystal Palace last weekend – after gaining a run in the team thanks to Morata’s injury.

Conte does not have a vast range of striking options, having sold Dominic Solanke to Liverpool in the summer and loaned fellow England U-21 star Tammy Abraham to Swansea City for the season – with apparently no recall clause. Abraham has scored 4 goals in 8 games for the Swans.

It is now thought Conte is looking to bring in another striker in January to cover Morata, according to The Daily Telegraph. Names mentioned include Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy – who may be tempted for another shot at the Champions League and a reunion with former teammates N’Golo Kante and Danny Drinkwater. Also thought to be in the frame are Red Star Belgrade striker Richmond Boakye and Crystal Palace’s Christian Benteke – although he has been out of form this season and has failed to find the back of the net so far.
