Crystal Palace are considering making a bid for Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck in January, it has been reported.
Welbeck, 27, could be available for a cut price as his Gunners contract runs out next summer and he is yet to be offered a new deal. Arsenal bosses may look to sell rather than lose him for nothing 6 months later.
Arsenal may be willing to sell as Welbeck is behind Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette in the pecking order.
Palace meanwhile are in desperate need of a striker. Christian Benteke is out with a long-term injury and the other forwards at the club have failed to fire – the Eagles have scored just 8 goals in the Premier League this season.
