Italian giants Inter Milan have restarted talks to sign Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez on loan for the rest of the season.

Inter and United had been in talks over a deal earlier in the month but they has ground to a halt when it became clear The sides were some way apart on the terms of the deal.

However, Inter still want to do a deal. It is thought United want Inter to pay at least £5 million of Sanchez’ wages and have a £15 million option to buy at the end of it.

Sanchez has endured a rough time in Manchester since his move from Arsenal in January 2018. Injuries and a loss of form have meant he hasn’t got near to his best form at Old Trafford.

Nevertheless, while Sanchez doesn’t appear to be an integral part of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, letting him go would be a gamble. Having sold Romelu Lukaku to Inter already and not replaced him, if Sanchez went it would leave United with little back up in the forwards department – at least until January and the reopening of the transfer window – apart from promising, but untried, youngsters.

Sanchez is apparently keen to leave but doesn’t want to take a pay cut. However, Inter are said to be confident a deal can be done ahead of the European transfer window closing on September 2.

Italian side Roma are considering taking Manchester United misfit Alexis Sanchez on a season-long loan, according to reports.

United are apparently keen on the deal and are prepared to pay a portion of Sanchez’s wage to ensure the deal goes through, The Sun has reported.

Sanchez has endured an unhappy time since moving to Old Trafford from Arsenal in January 2018. Injuries and a loss of form have hampered him, and there have been rumours of attitude problems.

He failed to spark when Olé Gunnar Solskjaer took over as United boss – despite being given chances – and now appears to not be in the plans for the first team. Solskjaer seems happy to go with a youthful front line and give chances to 17-year-old prospect Mason Greenwood.

Roma want a deal, and with Solskjaer wanting Sanchez out of the way, it appears a deal could go through before the Italian transfer window closes on September 2.

Alexis Sanchez’s Manchester United nightmare could be coming to an end as Italian giants Inter Milan and Juventus are both keen on signing the forward.

The Independent has reported that both clubs have met with Sanchez’s intermediaries about the potential for a deal.

United are keen to offload Sanchez and want to do a deal. However, both sides have indicated that they will only look at a deal if the Chilean drops his wage demands. It is believed that there could be some compromise on this.

Sanchez joined United from Arsenal in January 2018 but the move has been a disaster. Injuries and a loss of form have hit the 30-year-old and he has scored just 3 goals in 32 matches for the Reds. Nevertheless, he still remains a talent if he can recapture his best form.

Manchester United plan swoop for Borussia Dortmund star Axel Witsel

With Manchester United continuing to under-perform this season, manager Jose Mourinho is planning to bid for Borussia Dortmund winger Axel Witsel in the summer, according to reports.

With United struggling – by their standards – in 7th place in the Premier League, Mourinho is plotting to shake his squad up for next season. While there have been rumours of any number of central defenders being targeted, it now seems the ‘Special One’ wants reinforcements further up the pitch too.

ESPN reported that Mourinho watched Witsel in person as Belgium beat Iceland in the Nations League recently.

Mourinho is thought to be a fan of Witsel and would like to have signed him last summer. However, United pursued other targets and the 29-year-old joined Borussia Dortmund from Chinese Super League outfit Tianjin Quanjian for £18 million.

Since then, Witsel has been impressive for Dortmund, who currently sit top of the Bundesliga.

However, Witsel will be 30 by the time the summer arrives, and Mourinho will have to convince the United board why they should shell out a substantial fee for someone of that age.

In addition, Dortmund will no doubt be reluctant to sell one of their stars, especially after just one season with the club. They would certainly want more than £18 million to even consider letting him go.

Should a deal come to pass, it would lead to further speculation about Alexis Sanchez’s future in Manchester. Since arriving at Old Trafford last January, his form has collapsed and he has been on the bench more often than not recently. There is speculation he is unhappy at United, so he could be sold to fund moves for other players.

Likewise, Paul Pogba’s future continues to be a subject of speculation. He has never consistently hit his best form in a red shirt, and there is talk he could return to former club Juventus this summer.

Alexis Sanchez wants to leave Manchester United with PSG top of his wish list

Alexis Sanchez wants to end his nightmare at Old Trafford and leave the club in January – and Paris St-Germain is his preferred destination.

Chilean international Sanchez has endured a torrid time at Manchester United since joining from Arsenal in January. His form has been patchy for the Reds and he has recently lost his place in the starting XI.

The Mirror reports he has become disillusioned at the club and his representatives have begun to sound out other clubs about a potential move.

PSG is an obvious place for Sanchez to move to. The Ligue Un champions have had a long-standing interest in the 29-year-old and could afford his astronomical wages – said to be north of £450,000 per week.

However, other top European clubs would also be interested. Real Madrid are looking for a forward and Juventus are looking to strengthen further too. Sanchez has previously played in both counties, with Barcelona and Udinese respectively.

United would demand a transfer fee, possibly around £50 million. But they may be willing to offer a cut-price deal if all parties are agreed that a move away for Sanchez is best.

PSG have a wealth of striking talent, including Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani. Should Sanchez join it may mean one leaves. There have been persistent rumours that Neymar is unhappy in Paris and, if a replacement is signed, could be allowed to leave. However,  this would probably be for another world record fee.
