Spanish giants Real Madrid are planning to make a £90 million bid for Manchester United target Kalidou Koulibaly, according to reports in Italy.
Napoli defender Koulibaly has become one of Europe’s most wanted players thanks to a series of commanding performances in Serie A.
He has been the subject of interest from United for some months and Napoli are said to have already turned down a world record bid from them.
But the Neapolitan side are said to be willing to accept a £90 million bid for Koulibaly from Madrid this month, according to Italian news outlet Il Mattino.
Madrid have struggled in La Liga this season after the departures of manager Zinedine Zidane and star player Cristiano Ronaldo last summer. They currently sit 5th in La Liga, 10 points behind leaders Barcelona.
They see Koulibaly as an ideal signing to sure up their back line and appease fans who want big signings in order to get back to the top of La Liga.
