Barcelona have resurrected their interest in Chelsea winger Willian and have put together a deal worth £50 million that includes Malcom going the other way, according to reports.
The Catalan club tried to sign Willian last summer and had three bids rejected by the Blues. However, manager Luis Enrique is still keen on the 30-year-old Brazilian and has come back to the table with another bid.
Barca signed Malcom from Bordeaux for £38 million last summer after they failed to land Willian, but the 21-year-old has failed to impress at the Camp Nou and they are now willing to offload him as part of the deal.
However, it is not known if Chelsea and manager Maurizio Sarri’s stance on Willian has changed since August. The player has been a regular starter for Chelsea this season, usually as part of a front three. But he is 30 and has less than two years left on his contract, so the offer could be tempting as they may not get so much for him by the time the summer comes round.
Chelsea have already sold Cesc Fabregas to Monaco, and could also lose the highly-rated teenager Callum Hudson-Odoi to Bayern Munich, so Sarri may not want to see another player go – even if it included Malcom coming in in his place.
Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang are also thought to be interested in signing Willian, but the player doesn’t want to move to China. However, it is thought he would be keen on a move to Barca, according to The Mirror.
