La Liga champions Barcelona are reportedly considering making a bid in January for new Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Barcelona are looking to bolster their attacking options, given that Luis Suarez is struggling with injuries and form currently.
Their bitter rivals Real Madrid are also said to be keeping tabs on the Gabon international, as manager Zinedine Zidane continues to refresh his squad.
Aubameyang has been a revelation in an Arsenal side that has struggled for consistency and has missed out on Champions League qualification for the past two seasons. He recently scored his 50th goal for the club in just his 78th appearance.
However, Aubameyang has yet to commit his long-term future to the Gunners and could be tempted to move on if they don’t reach the Champions League again this season.
It has been claimed that Arsenal would listen to offers if Aubameyang decides he wants to leave. However, they would not want to lose their star player who has scored so many goals for them since he arrived in January 2018. If they were to consider an offer, they would certainly want something in excess of £50 million.
