Premier League champions Manchester City and top-half side Arsenal could make a bid for Real Madrid forward Isco in January as it is reported he is on his way out of the club.
Isco has been a peripheral figure at the Bernabeu under Zinedine Zidane this season, playing just 170 minutes. He also struggled for game time last season.
With Madrid said to be considering a January clear-out of some squad players, Isco is a clear candidate for the exit door.
Spanish news outlet AS has reported that both Arsenal and Manchester City are interested. With Madrid wanting Isco out, they may consider taking a reduced fee for him. Given that at 27 and with a contract that runs to 2022, they could ask top dollar for Isco, it could be a tempting deal.
It would certainly make sense for Arsenal, who have lacked creativity in midfield this season, especially without Mesut Ozil – who himself could be set to leave the Emirates in January.
For City, Isco would add to the already fierce competition for places at the Etihad stadium.
