Real Madrid to offer player plus cash to try and tempt Liverpool to sell Mohamed Salah

Real Madrid could offer Liverpool winger Lucas Vasquez as part of a £200 million deal to buy Mohamed Salah.

It has been rumoured for some weeks that Real are keen on the Egyptian star, who has scored 31 Premier League goals this season, but have yet to make an offer.

Liverpool don’t want to sell their star man, but Real hope that a bid of £200 million could be enough to tempt the Reds into selling. Offering Vasquez as part of the deal could bring the asking price down.

Vasquez, 24, has been a regular starter for Real this term, keeping Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema on the bench at various times.

Real are known to be planning a shake-up of their squad, especially as Barcelona have taken the La Liga title, and are hunting a marquee signing, for which Salah would fit the bill.

However, Liverpool – who are favourites to land a spot in the Champions League final this week, being 5-2 up on Roma after the first leg – are confident he will stay and spearhead their bid for the Premier League title next season.
